The
Upper Midwest Transmission Development Initiative (UMTDI) Executive
Committee has approved the following draft of cost allocation
principles. The twelve identified principles reflect a preliminary
viewpoint, and do not represent the end product. The UMTDI
Executive Committee now invites all stakeholders interested in the
UMTDI to submit written comments on these draft principles for
Friday, April, 17, 2009. The UMTDI Executive Committee and
regulatory staff will compile another version using your input for
the Executive Committee to consider. Your input is critical to the
development of appropriate cost allocation principles. The final
adopted principles by the UMTDI Executive Committee and Governors’
Offices will ultimately be used by the Cost Allocation Tariff Design
Study Group as it develops some suggested proposals later this
Spring.

Pilo at the PSCW and Marya White at the Minnesota Office of Energy
Security.
